GameFi elements and systems

Much of the success of rideshare apps lies in their gamified interfaces. Social interactions, nudges, randomization, and earnings targets are among many incentives that keep drivers remotely engaged.

Behavior design is a discipline that has been used to make social media networks more addictive, and create viral marketing of commercial products. But there is no reason beneficial behaviors can't be fun. Behavior design has also been applied to incentivize learning in children, change sedentary behaviors, and rewire habits.

It is what we make of it.

We are going to use behavior design to GameFi healthy and desirable conservation activities.

GameFi protocols

Initial GameFi elements in the Savimbo app will include:

Certified badge

Increased earnings for Tree tokens that have been verified with an independent certifying authority such as Verra, SustainCERT, or Gold Standard.

Naturalist badge

Increased earnings for each animal species documented within a registered biodiversity or tree-plantation geocode. Accepted documentation includes photo/video taken with geocode and datestamp within 1 year of the earnings month. As in GameFI, account owners own the rights to their NFT video which may be taken off-app or resold on partnering film sites.

Forest badge

Increased earnings for documented undergrowth indicating the regrowth of native forest species. Accepted documentation includes photo/video taken with geocode and datestamp within 1 year of the earnings month.

Medicine badge

Increased earnings for documented presence of traditional medicinal plants. These badges can only be conferred by recognized Indigenous healers from partnering autonomous entities and must include photo/video documentation taken with geocode and datestamp within 1 year of the earnings month.

Indigenous badge

We incrementally increase payments for Indigenous or community collectively-owned land, relying on anthropologists and local partners for this classification. This land can be managed through traditional means, or by creation of Land DAOs.

Biochar badge

Increased earnings for documented biochar application on tree reforestation projects. Accepted biochar must be validated to meet low-tech biochar Verra standards. Excess biochar generated may be taken off-app or resold to other farmers.

Derisk badge

Increased earnings for addition of wildfire sensors, or low risk of natural disasters.
